Design For Change

Hello Changemaker!

Welcome to Design For Change, a worldwide competition that is forming the largest movement of children creating change.

The idea is simple, we ask children to design solutions for problems in their lives, schools, neighborhoods or communities. Children under the guidance of their teachers pick one week to carry out their project, document their results, and submit their entries to Design for Change.

One Idea. One week. One billion lives to Change.

At north Minneapolis K-8 school, Nellie Stone Johnson, there already is a strong academic program and an exceptional staff.  In addition, there are student-community connecting programs like Lead Peace that function during the school and after school.

Through programs like Lead Peace students are already learning on how be leaders and contributors in their community.  Lifting their vision to the global level is the fantastic enhancement that Design For Change-USA (DFC) offers.

Through participation in DFC students experience in a tangible way how the work in their community, along with other students in other communities all over the world, make the world a better place.
